Fixing Technology Woes for your Church

Part of our series about Online Ministries

We’ve talked to many churches about bringing their ministries online.  The biggest misconception after cost, is of course technology.  There is always a belief that it takes “a lot of gear”  to accomplish going online.  I can’t tell you how many times we’ve heard,  “but you just haven’t seen our sound system yet”

Let us simplify the process for you.   We are experienced at online streaming and podcasting.  We can have you up an running EASILY if you have the following:

  1. Electricity
  2. An internet connection faster than dial-up
  3. A microphone

Yes an elaborate sound system is nice.  Audio engineers are nice.   Someone to move zoom a camera back and forth is also great, but the three things above are all you really need.

Some of our favorite questions:

Q:  Is it going to take all of our internet connection?
A:  No.  Even with video, streaming or recording online is very simple these days.  You are providing the video to our server, and we provide the “heavy lifting” streaming services.    Bandwidth for you broadcasting to “one user” (us) is very lightweight.

Q:  How is the video quality,  really?
A:  Actually very good.  The internet has come a long way.  It used to be you had to do “little itty bitty” video such as a web cam.  These small sizes were required because the bigger the picture, the more bandwidth it required.  Frame rate (how many pictures per second) is also much better than even 2 years ago.    Broadcasting in High Def (HD) is possible with our technology.

Q:  We’re not that “tech savvy”  Can we do this?
A:  Yes!  First off, we’re here for you.  We take pride in explaining things in plain English  so you are not intimidated by the process.   Our team of engineers support our customers 24x7 on-site and over the phone.

So lets talk over what your current needs.  We can sit down with you, your music director and the person that runs your sound board.  Let’s bring your message to the internet and ipods everywhere.
